If this knife was given to me, hell yeah I would use it! Did you armchair warriors suppose that because you think this knife was "crap" due to marred specifications in design that you can't make it work? Screw where it came from and what company manufactured it. This knife still has an edge and a point and is made of steel and remember, it is the wielder that makes it work and I don't even have to tell any of you "experts" that!
remember the K.I.S.S. principle
Sure a good carpenter can build a house with a rock instead of a hammer, however that knife and many other cheap FOLDERS like it ARE dangerous to the user no matter how skilled you might think you are.... unless of course your fingers cant be harmed when the lock fails and it folds on your own hand. We aint all the man of steel there, caped one

IF it was given to me I'd use it too. Hell, anything in my tackle box will work if it doesn't rust closed! I have a $3.00 knife in there now from the flea market. Plastic liners and all. I might be tempted to carry the thing IF it was the only thing I had. What would you RATHER use? A custom handmade fixed blade made in the USA (D-2 tool steel) K-bit or a cheapo made in china stainless POS. (piece of shit)? No question for me. I'll go with a custom even if it costs 120.00 more dollars. A cheap fixed blade is WAY better than folder IMO. But that's just me. I've had two lock blade folders close on my fingers in the past, it will NOT happen again! K.I.S.S. is a good GENERAL rule of thumb but (my) experience says there is a limit to what is good and what might be dangerous to the operator.
There are other issues with that particular blade that I don't like but to each his/her own, eh?
Funny. I never had a locking folder close on me before. I usually move my fingers first. In fact, I never heard of such a thing happening before! Am I the one in left-field of ignorance over this factor?
Anyway, here's a photo of a knife I cherish in my possession

Okay dude ONE more time, the MINIMUM quality i recommend is Columbia River knife and tool CKRT...35-50 bucks...nothing is gonna fit MY standards below that range...its your life and your fingers. And you know what you're worth better than me, maybe 19 bucks is all your fingers are worth to you.
well, gQ was lookin for something pretty cheap i guess, so i was just offering an alternative to his cheap smith and wesson one. i think the ram one looks better, and is probobly better quality. its advertised for 19 on that site, but u can get it on some different sites for 13 bux gq, better than a 25 dollar smith and wesson if u ask me. but yeah, id rather go with a ckrt.
No, I wouldn't buy anything that cheap, I'm willing to spend money for more quality... was just wondering if anything cheap could also considered quality, but I thought something so cheap was bound to be crap... also I wouldn't want to buy something so cheap that starts falling apart not long after, or falls apart shortly after when used..

fair enough...i would spend 19 on the cold steel non metallic kerambit...and make a sheath for it...I have heard a few people say the ram is pretty good for the money, but i havent ever seen one.
Yes, training with weapons is important. I train AGAINST weapons. I never use them. I let my students use knives against me in training. That way I know I'm prepared for when I'm attacked by someone with a knife.
I remember being attacked in a pub in Glasgow once by a drunk with a knife. He lunged at my heart but luckily I was prepared because we go over this scenario frequently in training, I parried the attack secured his wrist with my right hand and broke his arm along the elbow joint with a palm strike to his elbow while his arm was fully extended. Completely snapped his arm. However, he was still acting violent AFTER this and so I had to secure him in a hold - wrist lock - until the police arrived.
Moral of the story - don't just train Knife on Knife. Train to defend against knives when you are unarmed.
WOW sounds like a text book perfect execution!! Thats pretty amazing skill!! I've never met anyone who could pull off clean techniques in an actual fight! Especially against a knife and empty handed at that!! Very impressive and descriptive story it shows just how good a bullshit artist you arent.

So you snapped some sucker's arm and put him in a wristlock eh? Maybe it's only me, but I do give others(mainly most members on this forum) the benefit of the doubt about buying that story of yours, because it reeks of bull feces.
