Anyone do Dog Brother type training in Dallas area?
The grappling arts imply most fights end up on the ground. The striking arts imply all fights start standing up. The clinching arts imply the clinch can stop the striker from striking, and the grappler from taking it to the ground. The weapon arts imply the they can stop the unarmed man. A complete martial art implies any fight can go anywhere...be ready and able to go everywhere.

There is not anyone training Dog Brother style in Dallas that I am aware of at the moment.
However, you do have a couple of really good Pekiti guys training out there.
Tim Waid, Omar Hakim, and Clint Grumbles are really good stick fighters. I do not have contact info on any of these guys (sorry) but you could ask on the Eskrima list or simply go to Lang Son Traders and ask around.

Badger, what exactlly are you looking for? Stick, knife, both, all, sparring partners only, teacher, classes? I may know someone up there, I just e-mailed him.
I am pretty much going on The Dog Brother videos(excellent tapes) for my stick-training.
It would be nice to train with someone who likes the same kind of thing-Who could tell me when I am doing something wrong plus I need someone to spar with.

Badger, in all the stickfights that I've been in, I've never had someone tell me when I was doing something wrong...I've had them show me, but never tell me. Just FYI.

Badger, I can't check my e-mail, I'm in the middle of a move and my phone line hasn't been hooked up yet. He did suggest Tim Waid, but I haven't been able to correspond, and tell him what you are looking for yet, gove me a week before I'm back on line...using work computer now.
BTW, try checking out Bill McGraths web site, he has some training partners contact board...and our site too.
