  • Houston Stick Fighting Association

Dear Members of the Houston FMA Community:

I am happy to announce the formation of a new association in Houston called the "Houston Stick Fighting Association." Our goal is to help FMA practicioners, as well as practicioners of other blade or stick-based martial arts improve their skills through sparring with other practicioners. Our motto is "Elevate your Martial Arts skills in a Combative Environment."

We will have four (4) events per calendar year, once each quarter. Our first event will take place on Sunday, November 26, 2006.

Please visit our new website, www.houstonstickfighting.org, or e-mail info@houstonstickfighting.org for more information.

    Johnathan,
I'm glad to hear about what you guys are doing. I'm interested in jumping in on some of the action soon after I arrive in Houston.

        Great idea, miserable timing...

Any thoughts on moving the program to not fall 2 days after the Thanksgiving holiday? Many people will still be out of town.

        Regards, jb

          It's gonna be ON!

I'm in town now as of last Friday(11/10). If there are any of you in the Tomball/Hwy 249 area near Louetta... we can meet to train and practice for this upcoming occasion with the HSFA on the 26th. I'm eagerly looking forward to this occasion. This is gonna be fun!

Thanks Tim! I wanted to form an association so that players of all blade-based and stick-based martial arts would have the ability to spar with and learn from each other. Thanks for your support!

                    Dan,

Twas fun seeing you fight. I myself am quite contented with the way the fights turned out even if we as a group (kidlatarnis.tripod.com) have not really prepared on how the fighting escalated to some grappling and other attacks, we tried to stay within the NARAPHIL/WEKAF books..after all this are my exposures..but it was fun..

                    Jonathan,
Kudos to you and your organizing ability sir, we appreciate much, next meet will be in our area..we'll talk more about that..i'll give you a ring.
Will there be any way we can invite the ARMA guys again..we would ove to see more of them next time..

                    Till next meet by brothers.
