Hello All:
Just wanted to sound off on IKF's Feb. 2007 issue, which has an article on the Filipino Combat Systems' kerambit. While the article is written by an FCS member and close friend of Tuhon Ray's, John Kovacs, the publishers decided to put Steve Tarani's picture at the beginning of the article!
Nothing against Mr. Tarani, but he has nothing to do with the kerambit as taught by Filipino Combat Systems.
Just wanted to put that out there so nobody is confused.
Think about it:
How would you feel if after all your hard work getting an article to be published all of a sudden the publishers bungle it up? It's like your article is about BJJ and you get pictures of a japanese jujitsu or worse, a luta livre, fighter in it!
It seems as if APG/ Unique Publications(the group that publishes Inside Kung Fu) was trying to hawk their copies of Steve Tarani's kerambit book and videos. Why the conspiracy theory? Because the editor, Dave Cater was already told not to do that! But it was done anyway. That's not cool at all.
