You have got to be kidding. I remember this so called “statement from Leo Gaje” from paperwork you gave me years ago, and it was dated well before that! That is if it was ever a real document.

Maybe you should not try to pass this off as a new letter from Leo to all the fine folks here at Defend.net.

This is a post you made Kaliace, Michael Olive, to the same post by Tuhon Gaje, Jr. "Can’t we all just get along?" Posted by you only a few days ago, it appears that you are not a kali ace.

And now you post implications above, and everyone can see you are not honest in your belief for everyone to get along together, just by implying that the email from Gaje to me, P. Greg Alland is not real.

That's funny, when I look at your post over and over I feel the need to somehow consider your sincerity, but this really shows everyone the truth about you.

Look again at that email, from Tuhon Gaje, it's not about me, but about the teacher you claim to have respect for, I think too that your posts show how inconsistent you really are. It's time for you to pay respect, take another look again at the posts you've made on this forum over the last year. I think it will enlighten you.

As it is my intent here to be kind and forgive you too, be aware that continued degradation, deception and profanity are not qualities of masters, grand masters or martial artists like yourself. Share in the truth and take responsibility for your actions, is the plan of every true martial artist. Tuhon Gaje is perhaps upset for all the baggage of dishonor that his uncle carries with him. The truth hurts but kindness, love, respect make things happen. Profanity is unbecoming of any master or grand master and it hurts me to see my teacher use it publicly about his family or about anyone, including myself. Gaje is truly a gifted individual that deserves respect for his insight and ability, period.

Furthermore, it was at his request that I begin to promote Kali Silat in his name from the time we met in 1972 at the Jersey City Medical Center, and look again at his letter, where he states until now meaning Wednesday, July 18, 2001 when he emailed me. But people still continue to talk trash and for that reason we are not all getting along!

As Tuhon has said then and now, it's because people are jealous. So, do not take this post or any post from me the wrong way, it is from the kindness in my heart and the time we have had together that I miss because I know that when people share we all grow as did Gaje and myself from years of practice.

Please do take a hard look at the inconsistency of many such posts made on this and other forums and then maybe we can see the truth, concentrate on the arts and the purpose it has for the good of all people that take the time to practice everyday to better themselves, rather then to belittle others.

PS: So you know, I promote all Filipino people that practice these arts and sciences of human life, it is for this reason perhaps that some people can't accept it, but Kali Silat, is Filipino Culture, and it is this culture that has saved my life, and as the late Suryadi Jafri once said, "If saves your life just once, how much is it worth!"

I'm an "outsider" looking in. I may have been given some exposure from both sides on the issue of inner-politics of the PTK circuit, so yeah it's easy for one to say I don't know what the hell I'm talking about especially when I'm not willing to reveal my sources because it is not my problem.

The problem I see however is that this thread is stinging with rancid odors of more than just bullshit.

Before FMA becomes a bandwagon trend in the future, the levels of fakes and bullshit artists are at a minimum at this time. Imagine how much worse it could get by the time FMA is thriving with International media attention and jackasses that own sets of rattan sticks that are too pretty to shred that crawl out of the woodwork trying to cash-in on our poor art. Yes, that also includes Filipino natives with active backgrounds in other systems that never even fought with a stick before. I can see it coming....

I guess I should address my username. I use it over all the forums I visit even the technology forums I spend a lot of time on. I have had that handle for several years now. When I formed the name I wanted something that was not used before, much like everyone else tries to do. Kali is of course because I enjoy the art, Ace is a nickname my older brother gave to me long ago when we were kids. I did not make the User name with the intention that I am some sort of self proclaimed “Master” of Kali, because I am not. I have never claimed to be.

In regards to my “Can’t we all just get along” statement it was more of a sarcastic remark. I was stunned by the posting that was on Tuhon Gaje’s website. I put it here hoping to find the truth behind the posting.

You can post all kinds of stuff about me, and that is fine. I have always done the right thing and will stand behind anything I post. I will also admit when I am wrong. The real people that know me, know that to be the truth. Maybe that is the problem, every time I stand up for the truth I stand alone.

Belive it or not some parts of your last statement is surprisingly lucid. I commend you for sharing them with everyone.

Hopefully some day we will all know what really happened, until then all we can do is train hard and follow our heart.
