    Hello Nic,
this is a hard place to teach, lol. Do you know any trapping combinations like pak sao lop sao or pak sao biu jee pak sao? if so these are great tec. to switch from side to side. and let's not forget on way to switch, he could punch you with the other hand! hope this helps.

      Hi Nic,

      I'll give it a try.

You say that you are having trouble switching.... so I'll assume that you have the basic sequence....

      Opponent throws a #1
you meet, "salute", pak sao and return your own #1

      To switch sides...
Opponent throws a #1 with his right hand
you meet with your left hand,
then the same hand which just met his strikes goes straight ahead (think left palm strike).
The opponent then has to meet with his rt hand, "salute" left, rt pak sao, and then strike with his left, you meet rt, lt salute, rt pak sao, left hand strike....

You are now doing the "left hand-reverse" of what you were previously doing.

There are other switches, this is but one...

              nic:

keep an eye on my website www.saintlouistrainingcircle.com It's sure to have plenty of technique info you'll be able to make use of.

If you live near St. Louis I'd be happy to help you with hubud personally. The switch is probably so easy you just don't see where it fits in..that's how most of this stuff works.
