    Filipino Martial Arts Seminar with the Masters

    This seminar is a rare opportunity to train with two Masters from the Philippines, who have trained with the legendary Grandmasters and have founded their own systems to preserve their legacy.

    Mataw Guro Lou Lledo was born in Zamboanga City in the Island of Mindanao, in the Southern Philippines; He holds the rank of IKA-WALONG ANTAS Sagisag na Itim (8th Degree Master Teacher) and the title Punong Mataw Guro (Head Master Teacher in the Filipino Fighting Arts and in Japanese Karate.

    He trained agents in the National Bureau of Investigation Training Academy (Philippine Counterpart of the FBI). He also trained the officers and personnel of the 1st Air Division and the 304th Security Squadron of the Philippine Air Force, and later the Civil Intelligence and Security Unit of the City in the combative Arts.

    Maestro Rico Acosta is a Master of several styles of Filipino martial arts who has received extensive personal instruction in the Philippines under many notable Masters and Grandmasters such as GM Benjamin Luna Lema (LSAI), GM Vicente Sanchez (KAI), GM Roberto Presas (Modern Arnis), Senior Master Samuel Dulay (Modern Arnis), GM Jose Mena (Doblete Rapelon), GM Florendo Picate (Picate Style Crossada Espada y Daga), GM Charlie Villanueva (Lao Lan - Doce Generales), GM Jesus Pallorina (WEDOCA), Senior Master Frank Sobrino (WEDOCA) and GM Ric Esteban (Kuntaw Combat Escrima).

    He has been teaching the martial arts for more than 30 years. In the year 2000 he received an award for "Best Maestro/Guro" from PIGSSAI at the DIGMAAN competition in the Luneta Park grandstand, Manila, and he was appointed as the IMAFP (Modern Arnis) coordinator for New York in 2005.
