  • Want a crazy Filipino Sword or knife? I'll make you one!!

I'll make you one!! Whatever you want- We can make it, kris's,karambits,kuku...whatchamacallits.... if you can find a picture of it I will forge it out of metal, heat treat it throw whatever handle you want on it and mail it to you. But not for free.
I have been making knives since 03 and before that I was a metal sculpter and crazy knife lover.
I stand behind my work 100%, My buddy Chuck and I make knives/swords from scratch, its starts out a bar of metal and some wood and turns into whatever you want. Ask us for example of our work!!
Our prices are very reasonable, not cheap, but very reasonable, the more crap you want on it the more it will cost but these are hand made and 100%functional. I assure you they will be cheaper and far better made than you can find in alot of places (valientco for example) and if it breaks we'll fix it. If you arent trying to use it for a crobar that is..... But my blades dont break as a rule so have no fear. We have tested many to destruction.
The reason I came here to post this is because I have found a lack of good solid filipino blades on the market, you poor guys are left with whatever junk floats out of the filipenes as a piece of tourist garbage.
Let me make you a nice one you can pass down to the next generation.
I have been making FMA knives now for almost 6 months for close friends who do FMA's (Im a student myself) before that, I made lots of other types just not FMA knives.
    our website is tribaledgeknives.com
We'll make you a sweet blade, or maybe a cool looking practice weapon? Or one to match the other?
So far I have made knives for silat, kuntaw, escrima and a bunch of other martial arts I cant spell or pronounce. Check us out or contact us through tribal edge knives our website.

You won't get many points for posting an ad around here and frankly if you were selling shoes or wireless phones you'd be banned already...

Fortunately for you some folks around here might appreciate what you have to offer.

I'd like to see some of your work?

If you would be able to make a functional parang I would be very interested if you are able to ship it to Thailand.I do not really need anything fancy, but would like a strong,10 inch blade parang with wood handle which would be durable for work in jungle, resistant to rust and with a good sheath if you provide them..I know parangs are not Philippino,so if necessary I could send a picture and you could give me estimate on the cost.Thank you

NO problem, I will need a picture of it.
All my blades go out the door shave sharp, they bend to 90degrees without breaking, and will chop through a 2x4 a couple times and still take hair off your arm. I havent tried the tire thing but it sounds ike I will have to try that.

You have my email adress on my profile and I have mentioned my website. If you are seriouse; contact me. Ill make your blade.
Ill even quench it in the blood of your enemies if you handle the shipping.
Kidding, dont send me a corpse in the mail, the Ol' lady may get pissed.

My website is down now so not all my work is posted and some of the stuff on the site isnt mine, we are converting it over to a diffrent provider so not all the stuff is up, but if you want some pic's sent to you I can do that.

Again sorry if I offended you I just figured this would be an appropriate place for these types of knives.

                  Greetings Ian.

I've been to your web page and I like what I saw there. No need to apologize for your introduction.

Welcome and I hope you enjoy our little community. Think of us as potential friends and fellow artists instead of (just) customers and it's all good buddy.

I look forward to seeing more of your stuff...

First, the country is the Philippines and the people living here are Filipino. If you're going to attempt to make any knives and swords by copying our native designs, I'd appreciate it if you could take the time to learn to spell the name of my country correctly.

Second, not all blades made here are "a piece of tourist garbage". I know of a bladesmith who has killed people in combat with his creations and there are still a number of bladesmiths here who have been making weapons for generations. Believe me, what they make is not tourist garbage.

Just because most people end up buying display weapons from the Philippines - maybe because they can't tell the good stuff from the bad or they prefer to just bring home a wall ornament- doesn't mean "whatever junk floats out of the filipenes" is crap.

                          Oh no you didnt...

[QUOTE=Malapitan;303759]First, the country is the Philippines and the people living here are Filipino. Oh....you would appriciate that? I'd appriciate if you kept what you appriciate to your self, we here in America may not have sweet native sword and knife designs, but we do have a little thing called free speech, that means you have th right to tell me you are offended by the way I accidentlly misspelled you country's name and I have the write to tell you to piss off

Im not a geography teacher, Im a blade smith, and I dont care what you think, or how you feel, especially because you are a touchy over sensitive cry baby.

I have seen some decent workmanship come from the Phillippines but it is rare, furthermore some are made with ancient ritualistic techniques not founded in scintific data but in mytho's that make no logical sense. If they are even funcitonal at all it is a result of pure luck.

Now I suppose I have offended your delicate Filipino sensibility and you are going to find me and beat me up with some of your very sweet Native martial arts? Thats a long trip on a moped.......
All I can say is you better hope I dont hit you with my giant 4.20$ gas sucking SUV first cause I aint a fighter or a geography teacher, I'm a bladessmith. I may not be great at martial arts but I do watch nascar...... So bring the ruckus Ill show you my fender catches your ankle kungfu!! Maybe if you are lucky Ill feed you a McChicken so you arent melnourished when you come over here to knife me.

God bless America, god bless free speech and god bless the Phillipenes.
                          Ian -out.

PS that is America, and the people here are called American's, we like things to make sense here.
                          One last time......

Don't underestimate Filipino blade smiths or make such sweeping generalizations about the primitive methods.

Might make it easier to make friends here?

                            Just saying...
