We all came together at Rookies Sports Bar in Manteca,CA . Serrada Eskrima Masters coming
together to promote unity and brotherhood amongst all Serrada Eskrima practitioners to honor

GGM Angel Cabales the Father of Serrada Eskrima

Many fond memories of Angel, his training, his spirit and the future of his art were shared. Unity of
spirit in a bond of peace amongst all who have learned Serrada escrima from Angel Cabales and/or
their students. The main focus is the promotion and perpetuation of the true legacy of GGM Angel
Cabales. Angel's youngest son Gelmar Cabales was in attendance, Master Jerry Preciado, Master
Ron Saturno, Master Gabriel Asuncion, Master Darren Tibon, Chez Tibon, Jeff 'Stickman' Finder,
WSEF GM Anthony Davis joined us via conference call, Master Frank Rillamas would have joined
us but had a last minute family emergency with his mother caused him to be absent in body but one
with us in spirit, GKTactical GM Tasi Alo was there representing WSEF, Phil Labatad,Anthony
Wade,Eddie Chavez, Darlene Tibon and other students.

We focused on how we could all communicate better with each other extending a helping hand of
brotherhood so collectively we support the promotion , establishment and perpetuation of the art of
Serrada eskrima . Plans for future gatherings were discussed. It was known by many of us present
that GGM Angel Cabales was most concerned that his 'art' not be lost , forgotten or stolen. IT is
about the future of Serrada Escrima ! !

seminarsthrough the day, followed by a tournament on Sunday. With five

graduate students ofthe late grandmaster Angel Cabales, this event
should be of particular interest to Serrada eskrima practitioners, bringing
together for the first time these instructors, representing over 125
years of collective experience in this system

Gehring (GKT) giving the WSEF Honorary Grand Master to GM Darren Tibon at the Legacy Tournament in Stockton,CA this was awarded to Darren Tibon for all he has done for GGM Angel
Cabales , his family and Serrada Escrima, I consider he... and WSEF GM Davis as the main stays of
Cabales Serrada Eskrima motivating us all to unite as Serrada brothers
to Honor the Legacy of GGM Angel Cabales/Serrada Escrima !
Also GM Tasi was named co-GM of WSEF !
