Sayoc Kali Videos!

Hello Guys,
As you guys know i have been learning and training in Sayoc Kali under Tuhon Chris Sayoc for some time now. It can be difficult to train with him because he is so far away from me. I bring him into my school in Texas a couple of times a year and go train with him but like many of you i just cant get enough. Well Tuhon Sayoc has started a video tape program! the tapes cover the material in depth, with concepts, techniques and tons of stuff. It has really helped me with my training in this system because you are constantly getting to see what it is supposed to look like, get to hear the lessons over and over again. Dont get me wrong, i dont think its anywhere near as good as feeling the stuff done with a qualified instructor but when you have no other choice....
Anyway, i dont even know if these tapes are available yet or not, i know i am one of the prototypes for the tape series, i dont know who else has them, but they rock. If your interested email Tuhon Sayoc himself at Sayockali@aol.com and see if the tapes are available to the public. i just got my next tape and cant wait to start working on the material.
Tuhon Sayoc is here in two weeks, sept 15-16. When the seminar is over i'll post again to let you guys know how things went.

I was just checking into that with Tuhon and he said that as well. But membership is inexpensive, allows you to view the members area of the website, provides you with membership discounts, allows you to start working toward rank, and of course makes things like training videos more available. I have found that even though i am not close to Tuhon's location i can still make decent progress in his system using the seminars, private lessons, camps, personal training, teaching, and videos. And training with others Sayoc instructors when ever i can.
Anyway, sorry to sound like a commercial, its just that alot of people have expressed interest in this system, it's getting more and more popular because of people like Marc Denny and Guro Inosanto training in it. and it will get even worse when the new Tommy lee Jones movie comes out. I just thought it might be easier for many of you to get started by using the videos as a head start.

Can I infer from your post that Sayoc Kali is going to be featured in an upcoming Tommy Lee Jones movie? What is the name of this film and when is it expected to be released?

uh, ...mmm, a maybe?

well, i'm actually not sure if I'm supposed to be talking about it. I assume it's ok, if not well, my bad. the new Tommy Lee Jones movie is called The Hunted. Sayoc full instructor Guro Tom Kier personally trained Mr. Jones for the movie. I probably shouldnt go into specifics other than to say when people see this stuff they will want some of it! Mr. Jones is also supposed to continue his training in Sayoc Kali by bringing Guro Tom to his ranch in Texas. As for the release date, no info on that yet. Just keep yer eyes open.

I was just wondering howmuch do the training videos cost for members? And how long are the tapes I'm thinking about joining the sayoc kali orginization and just wanted to know more info.Thanks

As i mentioned i am part of the "trial" process, so i dont think they have released the tapes yet. As for the costs, i dont know, i will find out from Tuhon what the going rate will be. I'm not sure exactly who is in the "trial" tape program, but i have learned alot already. If you guys are interested you should flood Tuhon with email and ask him some questions, maybe the interest will speed up the process?! it's worth a try.
