Illustrisimo, Villabrille, Mena

I have heard that Grandmasters Illustrisimo, Villabrille, and Mena were all related. I know that they practiced together in Manila, along with the late G.M. Cabales, and Felicisimo Dizon.

Are there any practitioners of Villabrille/Largusa Kali, or Kali Illustrisimo that can elaborate on this connection.

G.M. Antonio Illustrisimo, and G.M. Jose G. Mena were cousins. Both were sparring partners of Dizon. But I am curious as to G.M. Floro VIllabrille's history with these men.

I understand that Floro Villabrille and Antonio Illustrisimo were cousins and played kali....Dizon was Villabrille's training partner...depending on which story you hear and believe-Villabrille went to fight the Moro Prince who had defeated Dizon...check out www.villabrillelargusakali.com and look up the history....but yes, they are all of the same genre and they all played....

I heard that G.M. Antonio Illustrisimo was Floro Villabrille's uncle. I know this seems unlikely, which is why I have posted this question out of sheer curiosity.

My son has cousins and uncles who are the same age, due mostly to the age gap between my parents and my inlaws.

I know that it has probably been written that Illustrisimo and Villabrille were cousins, but this might have just been an oversight. Or maybe they were, and my sources are incorrect. However inconsequential this thread may be, Its like an itch you just have to have scratched.

Any additional information would be appreciated.
