Siniwalli drills and general swinging drills are good for developing coordination and, if you're mindful of your technique while working them, they'll help your body mechanics. Do shadow boxing. Work any hand drill you can find. You don't have to have sticks in your hands ... increasing your hand speed will increase your stick speed and vice versa ... principles of movement are universal. Some details change as weapons change, but training with one will help your overall movement and you'll show improvement in other areas, too.
You can set up a training dummy (some PVC pipe, padding, and ingenuity can go a long way).
These are the first ones to roll off the top of my head ... I'm sure you'll end up with several useful tips from others, too.
