We feel priveleged to be able to promote the arts of our revered Grandmasters in the Philippines, living and deceased. I appreciate your kind words of support.

I have been working on a project for the last couple of years that will help promote arnis/eskrima as they are being practiced in the P.I., and It would be an honor to have the opportunity to do an online interview with you about your experiences in the FMA, and your views on the way it should be propagated.

Please let me know if you are interested.

      Salamat Po.

(This is my first time opportunity to search the internet so us to prepare the autobiography of AMA CHARLIE B. VILLANUEVA, Luckily enough, i was able to enter this website and to read your admiration to AMA)

Simula ngayon makakaasa kayo na regular kaming makikipag-ugnayan sa International Martial Arts Forum upang ipaabot sa mundo ang dakilang misyong pagtuturo ni AMA sa ating lahat.
(Starting this day, rest assured that we are regularly going to communicate to the International Martial Arts Forum so as to enlightened the world on the greatest mission of the teaching of AMA to all of us.)

Maaari ba naming malaman ang inabot mong antas buhat sa pagtuturo ng iyong ama upang mairehistro ito sa libro ng Lao-Lan rito sa Pilipinas?
(May we have the opportunity to know your rank based on the teaching of your father so as to be registered in the book of Lao-Lan here in the Philippines.)

                  Galao Tanggulan! Kumusta po!
Thank you for all of the wonderful words. Its great to hear from one of the brothers of Lao Lan. I am a 1st degree blackbelt under my father. I have been very fortunate to be exposed to the system at a very young age, and I hold Lao Lan very close to my heart. It is the art that has lead me into my life in the martial arts. My father has been a dedicated brother to Lao Lan even here in the states. He trained with AMA Charlie in the 60's and 70's. I'd like to help out as much as possible, and the same goes for my father. If you would like to email me it is jpyonan@yahoo.com and my dad is alyonanak47@comcast.net. I hope to hear from you soon!

                              Liza,

My condolences to you and your family. Your father's passing is a great loss to the Filipino Martial Arts community and our group here in the U.S. I only met him once in 1998, but I remember him as having a great sense of humor. He had many great stories to share and was a very gracious host.

I will try to send word of your father's passing to my brother Rico.

                              Rest in peace Grandmaster Villanueva.

                              Gumagalang,

                              Rich Acosta
