O' MGA KAIBIGAN AT KAPATID SA BAK-BAKAN....WALA NA BANG
SA-SAGOT SA INYO DIYAN TUNGKOL SA PILIPINO MARTIAL ARTS
    NA PINAG-UUSAPAN NATIN ?

CAN ANYONE READ AND UNDERSTAND WHAT i JUST WROTE HERE?
IF YOU CAN'T....PLEASE HAVE IT TRANSLATED BY SOME ONE WHO
    KNOWS THE FILIPINO LANGUAGE PLEASE.
THIS IS ONE GOOD THING ABOUT OUR PILIPINO MARTIAL ART,
YOU HAVE TO LEARN IN TAGALOG, VISAYA OR ILOKANO LANGAUAGES AND DIALECTS SOME OF THE MOVEMENTS OF ATTACKS AND DEFENSE AND YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THE MEANINGS AND MEMORISE THEM OF COURSE, BECAUSE IF NOT....
WHAT IS THE USE OF LEARNING THE PILIPINO MARTIAL ARTS,,,,,
SO FROM NOW ON BROTHERS IN PILIPINO MARTIAL ARTS, START
LEARNING MORE. LIKE IN JAPANESE MARTIAL ARTS, THEY WILL
TEACH YOU THEIR ARTS IN JAPANESE LANGUAGE IS IT NOT ?
WHICH IS MUCH HARDER TO LEARN AND PRONOUNCE, DOES ANY BODY AGREE OR DIS AGREE TO WHAT i JUST SAID? THEN SEND ME A RESPECTABLE NOTE .
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LEARNING AND PROMOTING OUR PILIPINO MARTIAL ARTS !

Congratulations to all the Cincinnati Balintawak FMA, who participated at the recent martial arts tournament during yearly "Arnold's Fitness Tournament 2005" that was held in Colombus, Ohio on March 05, 2005.
The FMA participants were all very good fighters with all the respects of a true sportsmen during the whole tournament for 2-days.

I would also like to congratulate Jhonphilipp Yonan, aka: "twin cobra" of Lao -Lan Martial Arts, (FMA)International, for winning the gold medal with the double stick or "doble arnis"compitition.
We hope to see every FMA practitioner at the next Arnold's fitness tournament next year to help us all promote our own FMA.

            Brother in Martial Arts !!

Thank you very much brother Rich Acosta of the famous "Kuntaw Kali" Kruzada, for your sincere word of congratulation for Jhon Yonan, aka :Twin Cobra, Lao-Lan Martial Arts, FMA International.

As of now, I have not received any reply from Master Charlie Villanueva of the Lao - Lan Martial Arts Philippines, I don't know what happened to all the
letters I sent him thru the post office, I just hope that he would still be alive so I could pay him a personal respect.

Yes, some day too brother Richo, we will meet and that would be an honor for me.
Let us all help each other in promoting our own authentic Filipino Martial Arts for a greater brotherhood, *MASKI SAAN PA MAN...KAIBIGAN AT KAPATID !".
Ingat lang diyan, frm: Kuya AL ( Lao - Lan Martial Arts, FMA International).

Thank you for the compliment, but we do not consider ourselves to be famous by any means. Contributing what we can to the success of the groups back home in the P.I. is rewarding enough for us.

The honor would be ours to meet you in person someday. I know that my brother, Rico, is interested in getting together with you. Hopefully some day in the near future.

Perhaps we can help contact GM Villanueva for you. I will email members of IMAFP and see if anyone there keeps in touch with him.

My email address is kruzada@email.com if you need to contact me for anything.

              Gumagalang,

              Rich

                        Hi guys,
I'm a little bit new here ,I just browse thru a search engine and found out that the Art of my master is being discussed here. "Master" as we call him is already retired in active teaching for health reason many years ago and his last gym is in Pope Pius XII in U.N. Ave in Manila. I was one of his senior instructor then, but now I'm here in Oman not as an instructor of FMA but as an OFW( Overseas Filipino Worker ), but the art still lives and being practice here only to a selected few.
Congrats to Twincorba for bringing Lao-Lan to the open again as it has been out of the lime light for quite a while.
                        Maharlika,
                        Gerald

I'm the nephew of GM Charlie Villanueva and an avid arnis practicioner. I was also promoted to Black Belt in Lao Lan about 20 years ago. Both my uncle and my cousin Bobby trained me and my brother. I'm glad that he has so many loyal students. I'll pass the word to him. He'll be hapy to know.

Hello brother Trankada Aldavo, I am so glad to start hearing brothers from Lao-Lan Martial Arts Philippines and International coming out to the Martial Arts forum and stablish good identity of each selves and the brotherhood and sisterhood of Lao-Lan, it is about time that you brothers help me in introducing our Lao-Lan Martial Arts. Finally, after my few years of being here in the Martial Arts forum and trying to locate some, if not all, of the Lao-Lanians...slowly....we are connecting.

I read in one of the posts that "Lao Lan is short for Galao Tangulan which in Tagalog is Movement of Defense. The art consists of Shito-Ryu, Judo, Siete Pares, Larga Mano styles, and boxing." When my dad Santiago trained with GM Charlie they were doing mainly judo. I asked my dad if uncle Charlie did arnis at that time and he did not know. They were close friends. In fact, my dad used martial arts to ge to my mom . Does anyone know the name of the Larga Mano style my uncle studied and with whom? I'm currently studying a Largo Mano Style called garimot arnis under Guro Dan Donzella of Syracuse, NY and it is a very effective long range style. Guro Dan studied under Gat Puno Abon Baet of www.garimot.com and is the NY represtentative.
