valiant co i do not like.. their weapons are of piss poor quality.. they are kinda cheap replicas.
Kris cutlery has some good stuff.. although not the prettiest its really good value for the price.
antique phillipino weapons are not only prettier to look at... but they are much better made than modern phillipino weapons. the muslim/asian sword masters of the phillipines had a much deeper understanding of BALANCE and FEEL than modern machine engineered sword makers have.
i highly recomend that you get an antique phillipino sword if you are seriously considering this. they are tougher and better balanced sdo they feel lighter and are as a result a much much higher performing weapon.
here are some great sites you can check out.... both of these guys have amazing reputations among phillipino sword collectors and can guide you further... also EBAY is a great place to get good phillipino weapons as well (if you know how to spot the genuine article from a tourist model... but that comes with experience... i always ask the advice of these guys before i buy anything.)
