You're crazy, but not because of this...

It did. I changed schools for my major, so I'm up north now. Can't beat it for the training options. Everybody comes by up here. I get to train with a lot of top-flight instructors, but I had to take a break from the RBSD stuff (no decent instructors up here--that I know of) and I'm now training boxing, MMA, and WW II combatives.

I am interested in learning defense against knives, sticks, and weapons of such nature.

vee arnis jitsu, right in downtown manhattan. they have an excellent arnis program and professor david james is a great instructor. in a recent issue of tactical knives magazine he was mentioned as one of the 11 of the best knife instructors! stop by anytime and view or try out a class free of charge, we would be happy to have you. maybe ill see you around, if not good luck in your search.

You should check out the Atienza Kali class at the Fighthouse on 27th street. The class is thurs from 7-9 and is taught by Guro Allain Atienza. The Atienza Brothers have one of the most effective and realistic arts out there. You will not be dissapointed.
