Although I'm not a massive fan of this portion of the art, the Sarong does require great skill to use effectively. Its certainly a great demo tool and can look very theatrical, Jeff Imada and Damon Caro taught Matt Damon some Sarong for the scene against the razor blade in The Bourne Ultimatum.
I thought the clip below from Ron Balicki looked pretty good:

There are no second chances.

Im not a fan of silat personally.
I used to train in Pencak Silat under Richard de Bordes.
In my honest opinion is most of it doesnt work.
Very nice looking system though and would be great for the big screen.

ghost, well you may well have your wish regarding the big screen... theres a movie called dark eden thats in pre-production in LA, its my teacher steve benitez and my training partners that are in it and a few big names are involved... should be a goodie... dan inosanto was getting steve to come over quite a lot from london to do seminars at his place for his students
steve actually is the only westerner to be officially recognised by the indonesian government as a pendekar (that doesnt mean others with that title are or arent just that the government recognise him)
anyway heres an intro
although its further along than at that time

MMA nutters seem underestimate everything about TMA. I love MMA but TMA has its place also.
