I'm Roman Catholic but I practiced Karate. Bowing never turned me against my religious beliefs. I am also Filipino & bowing never made me stop doing the Mano (kissing an elder's hand w/ my forehead as a sign of respect when meeting them & when leaving them).

Bowing is part of the Japanese culture as a sign of respect. Let's face it, the way you explain yourself, Green thinks, shows you do not respect any other nation's culture.

How about the little Japanese guided tourist jaunt up the Bataan penninsula, the Japanese would have the guys bow ,Oh just a show of respect, right before they cut thier heads off. Isn't that a nice little traditition ,Shintoism, cult of the Sun. Attempted world takeover.Gee let's really honor that and make it part of an Olympic sport.

So anyway lets see if the U.S.
trained judo team beats any of the sport-oriented countries. NOT. They get stomped. Russia, Japan Germany France Great Britain. How about Cuba they do really well for a bunch of god-less commies.

What's the Catholic Church have to say about worshipping spirits? Do they believe that there are such things? If so maybe you too are posessed by the Spirits of Judo. You may need de-programming or maybe an exorcism! Watching the U.S. team get humiliated at the Olympics may help to drive away the spirits of classical judo.

You should tell your Priest that you have been worshipping foriegn gods and bowing to spirits that inhabit inanimate objects like mats and tables. It says in the paragraph right before the TEN COMMANDMENTS not to bow to anything but GOD because He is a jealous GOD!

If you're going to fight for Christianity, please read the Bible. That doesn't come BEFORE the 10 Commandments. It IS the first commandment. I appreciate you trying to back up the faith, but please be accurate, the world watches and they wait for you to screw up.

Its called the ugly side of war, my friend. Sorry if your relatives where involved. You probably have no Japanese friends (or the kind of personality to make them).

If attempted world takeover is your issue, I imagine your next hot topic (after the Japanese thing gets really, really, really old or if you take your meds) will be the British empire and explain how drinking Earl Grey tea at 3pm is so "Benedict Arnold."

Thereafter you will give negative lip service to the former Soviet Union and China. Anyone wearing red is a "commie", which could include China based manufacturing executives who drive red BMWs in Shanghai (which puts an irony on your commie theory).

                    Thank you.

Not only do they watch for we Christians to screw up, they capitalize on our hostilities to other cultures. What kind of example does that set Greenie?

Its hard trying to live up to the bible. really hard.

I used to work for a Mr. Yogi Matsura. John Holm's wife is of Japanese ancestry. Her two children are of Japanese ancestry. Leilani just placed third in the Olympic trials for Judo , losing to Liz Burns who she had beaten in the last 6 times they met. Leilani had her diet changed by a trainer and she ran out of steam warming up. BUT she is back on track winning the junior nationals once again last saturday .She is only 17 years old so she will be back next olympics.

John Holm has trained other Olympians. In 1980 his student Miguel Tudella was our heavywieght and Steve Seck was a lightwieght but President Carter decided to boycot the Moscow games. Miguel has been in Black belt magazine.

Anne Marie Rosey(Burns) the first American to win a World championship in Judo , trained at our school in Hopkins Minnesota. (1970's)She didn't start to win until training under John Holm and Diane Peirce (Tudella).Diane had won the Pan -Am games back then which was as high as you could go in women's judo .I don't know if Anne Marie Rousey credits her training to John Holm or not. It would be interesting to ask her.

HOLY SHITE ! The VERY FIRST commandment says not to bow! To nothing but GOD! Could it be any more clear then that?
There was two guys in the newspaper that dared God to hit them with lightning if He existed. THEY BOTH GOT ZAPPED!

And I always thought my fellow countryman, sherwinc was the worst poster here! I have to apologize sherwinc, my bad.

I can allready tell you, his premise is that other cultures are crap and therefore not to be respected.
Thanks, I was trying to be nice. But after reading the posts following ours, I couldn't have said it myself.

I wonder if Mr. Yogi Matsura has any idea of the stuff you're posting here?

Its called the ugly side of war, my friend. Sorry if your relatives where involved.
I'm pretty sure his relatives were not involved in the Bataan Death March. If his relatives were anything like him, I doubt my ancestors would even let them march alongside.
