Blinking and flinching when someone is trying to hit you full on at trainning is perfectly normal (obviously). A good way to address the problem (this is also a great drill for a class) is to have a student (you) stand in their preferred stance and stand there while the rest of the class is standing in front of the student in a single line.

Have Each student come one at a time, and run up at you and do a full on attack as hard as they can i.e. a kick or a punch and your job is to counter their attack and then same for the next, etc. Once you've gone through the class a couple of times, swap with someone else and become the attacker.

This drill addresses more than just flinching, it will build up your relfexes, teach you to think fast and respond under pressure and hence prepare you for a real fight. Yes you will flinch at first, but in no time you will be like a statue.

I practice this exercise and is very effective, it teaches you to correct your mistakes.

the only thing u can really do is keep training. its like with anything else in training, the more u do it, the better u become at it and the more it becomes a natural function of ur body. just keep it in mind and try ur best to work on it, and eventually u will get used to it.

u can do light parrying drills, and light sparring at slow speeds so u get to used to having stuff coming at u. start light and slow and work ur way up. the better u become over time, the faster u can go. eventually u will become used to it.
