Also there is nothing wrong with taking stuff from other styles but you cant go around saying you are a ninja or something if you are that fat and whatever....I just dont respect it...now if he said he was a wrestler or whatever then I could respect that ...
Dope. The average wrestler runs a hell of a lot more than the average 'ninja'.

Reminds me of a joke I read in this month's Reader's Digest:
Jackie grew tired of her husband coming home drunk every night, so she set out to scare him straight and bought a devil's costume. That night, she lied in wait for him to pass her by on his way home. Just before he arrived at her location, she jumped out, sporting her red costume, displaying her horns, and wielding the mighty pitchfork.
"Who are you" he croaked.
"I'm the devil" she retorted.
"Oh," he replied "I married your sister."

"Like Billy Blanks. Tae Bo is for real!!!!!"
I bet Billy Blanks could beat up that fatso guy in that video. So basically you just said that as a martial artist you dont even need to worry about your weight and its perfectly good to be totally fat like a round ball because thats effective fighting!!

That's why it amazes me that so many people on here who weigh maybe 130lbs who only care about bagwork, abs, and combinations rather than ways to add on a good bit of bulk. I'm no bodybuilder (5'9" and around 175lbs) but I've got enough bulk to make a good bit of people think twice for my size. That extra muscle not only adds more strength, but it's your proverbial suit of armor out on the streets. You can take a lot more stress and if someone's raining blows on you it's going to hurt a lot less, hence why some of the bigger biker-types on the streets will shrug off a few good hits and how you have to either keep hitting them until they fall or take them down. I realize many are on here for sport so they don't want to add too much bulk, which is fine, but it's silly to regard bulky martial artists as "unable to fight" or what have you.
That's your personal opinion that every teacher needs to be fit and in prime physical condition, so that's fine with me. But remember: never underestimate anyone just by looks alone.

A teacher is suppossed to be a good role model for his students and that does not mean he has to have the perfect body, it just means he has to have a good one!!
Now you said muscle is good to add, which is true, but that does not go for FAT!! Fat is not armor really...
A lot of bikers are hardasses who dont back down from fights and have lived very extreme lives with lots of drugs and booz and been in a lot of fights before. It doesnt mean they won all of them. Bikers also use guns and other weapons.
A lot of bikers who challange a good martial artist will not win. Of course you can get blind sided by anyone in a group fight. Bikers are not the poster boys for a martial arts body so I am sorry.
I dont care if a fat guy has a lot of knowledge. It doesnt mean he has the skill to actually pull it off. He might be able to go for a bit but he can lose his breath WAY faster then a more normal weighted guy.
Smaller guys can just wait around and stall and fake out the fat opponents easy and evade their extremely powerful, yet so slow strikes. If someone is smart they are not going to just get kicked by some huge fat guy. Plus the bigger they are, the harder they fall. Also their knees are such simple targets and they are already supporting a TON of fat so they are weaker in many cases to strikes then other parts of the body.

How nice to get advice from some kid who has evidently never been near a real fight.
