kuzushi means to off-balance, you use it in grappling arts in order to throw someone.

It shouldnt be about strength really. Possibly they already know what you are going to do, and are resisting you? Just an opinion, but a lot of time, students focus on how to get their body into proper position, but do not pay attention on placing their partners body into position. So you should set-up or force your opponent into a weak position. Move in ways that will force your opponent to react in predictable ways. ex (push your opponent, they step back, and push back). the most common way to force your opponent is to use a combination of throws, where the first attempted throw just puts your opponent in an unstable position. The follow-up attack should then work.

To accomplish the same thing, you can break your opponents rythm, fake attacks, change your grip, shout (Kiai). You have to disrupt more than just your opponents body, you also have to distract his mind.

Heres some great information that should help you determine the issue.
