when i was training in judo our instructor was pissed cause when we would go to tournaments, alot of other judo clubs would have their students just try and go for double and single legs only instead of using true judo throws. he said this wasnt right, and that those students were not learning true judo, their instructors just wanted them to win at any cost.
judo only adds to the skills it doesn't take anything away.Actually it is the same thing, wrestling and Judo. They both encompass some of the same skills . And they both use the same tools. arms, legs etc. But Judo has more.
Aw, you tried so hard to be reasonable and then you end with this. Moron.
Had it occured to you that all the wrestlers in your examples were interested in learning Judo? They weren't wrestling with Judoka, they were doing judo with judoka.
What I want to hear is your stories about judoka who go join the local college wrestling squad and kick everyone's ass. Let's hear it.
Well two weeks ago one of John Holms Judo students went to Ames Iowa and won the national wrestling tournament. (Josh). He is a triple crown national judo champ two years in a row. That means he won all three Judo organizations first place. His team mate Lailani also a national triple crown Judo champ is also the captain of her high school wrestling team and city champ out in washington state. He has them wrestle also for the competion
as there are alot of wrestling tournaments out there.
He trained a kid here in Minneapolis that was State Grand Champion. That was back in the Seventies.
There are many more examples but I don't like wasting my breath on you, JUBAJI let alone resenting that you and I have to breathe the same air .

Do you realize how pathetic you are. They weren't wrestling with judoka?
What the **** does that supposed to mean? Stand up on your hind legs and have at it like men. Instead of laying on the ground like animals? At least start out standing. And don't drag each other down like a sack of potatoes?
*sniff sniff* Smells like 'you don't know what you are talking about'
Right, I never practice the Judo on wrestlers,.... or boxers..... or kick boxers...
Or Jiu Jutsu players.... don't wanna leave out the master grapplers. Never caught anyone in the Mae Hadaka Jime or bothered to learn a "sprawl"....
Heck, I never play the Judo with anyone... I don't even know any decent Judo players or wrestlers. Our local university has crappy wrestlers that no one ever heard of and they are WAY too fast and agressive for my old Judo BS...
I love to keep the truth to myself because it's just too lame to work on the likes of you...
Wrestlers rule the world of MA, no doubt about it....THAT"S why I need my knives!!!

And here you make the point for me. You know what it means, and you know what your 'examples' mean in light of it.
Don't feel too bad. Ah what the heck, go ahead and feel bad!
Josh Villani wins wins USWA kids Folkstyle National Championship Cedar Falls Iowa.
Theres a picture of him with Dan Gable. Ever heard of him? LOL!
Ah ha! So now we see what you left out. The Children's Division, I see. 11 to 12 year olds, I see. I'm glad to see the lad did well. If he decides to stick with wrestling he will probably have a bright future. And FYI, those 'nationals' are not national tournaments in the sense that you are probably thinking in any case. But not to take anything away from the kids who competed. It must have been exciting for him to meet Dan Gable.

If you're gonna say things like "I've found legshots to be easily defended" you need to be aware of what that smells like. You really do.
