Does anyone have an opinion on Enshin Karate? Either anything generally, or on this style as opposed to other styles of Karate. Anything would be appreciated.

    www.enshin.com

Being an offshoot of Kyokushin ( well actually more of Ashihara since the founder was head instructor dor Ashihara for a while) it is 1 of the more practical styles
Especially the Sabaki Principle ( also present in Ashihara) makes a lot of sense compared to Kyokushin

Pitty there aren't that much instructors in that style

I had never heard of Enshin Karate prior to this threads creation. It seems to be a mixture of JuJitsu and Karate, with open tournaments being a main basis for the evolution of this art. I dont know alot about this art, but I have to say, if they were teaching this around where I live I would surely go check it out and see what they have to offer.

It is interesting to note that every website takes great pains in describing their logo also.

        Hi,

I was fortunate enough to train privately with 2 of Ashihara's black belts. I also spent a week in Colorado training with the founder of Enshin who was trained by Ashihara. As far as karate styles go, it's a great system. The training was very tough and beneficial. It's definitely worth a try!

It has elements of Judo in it. The founder studied Judo before taking up Karate.
