JJJ, has a lot of judo mixed in but it also has your basic kicks; side kick, front kick and rounhouse kick. JJJ, also has effective hand techniques including reverse punch, etc., etc,. The sweeps in JJJ and judo are awesome and are usually teached in the advanced stages.

Most street self defense situations can be ended with a powerful side kick to the pelvis or groin.

    To answer your question..............YES

I'm training Jiu-jitsu now for 10 years, but I've never been in a situation that I had to use it, so my answer is no (luckely)

The secret principle of Ju-Jutsu is MOVING YOUR BODY OUT OF THE WAY...

          (Taisabaki)

You must avoid the attack by using the speed of locomotive power. The secret principle of jujutsu, true natural posture (shizen hontai or mugamae), was developed on the base of this taisabaki and applies to all techniques.
