Now, Garland...I guess you really are a young-un, so you may not know this....Cobra Kai was the extreme dojo in the first "karate kid" movie...

One of the stupidest but at the same time, greatest martial arts flicks of all time! The sensei was John Kreese, a vietnam vet with a real bad attitude, played by the actor Martin Kove....

In the movie, the dojo was supposed to be a bad place, with the wrong training ideals....but I always secretly liked it, and wanted to join...!!

I guessI thought about it when the original poster mentioned sleeveless grey karate uniforms...!!

The part they left out is that Kreese was discharged after being caught with a young male hooker in Chaing Rai. "Katoey".

            That's very true....

but that was "Karate Kid 4/ Daniel-san gets caned in singapore."

By that time, though, Ralph Macchio was too old for the part, so they got Max Casella instead. Mr. Miyagi was played by Nipsey Russell.

Ok, that's not entirely true...I just liked to say "Nipsey Russell" alot.
