When you have the time and money check out the school of Ninpo which Grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi teaches it is very good.

Out of that list, only Bujinkan has legitimate ties.

bujinkan, jinenkan, genbukan are the only legit schools.

You might come accross offshoots of these schools such as to-shin-do, sukishakoryu, etc.. They may not be teaching the same stuff as the legit x-kans but as long as they originally came from them, it's likely to be roughly the same thing.

NOT Tew Ryu Ninjutsu. it is a load of you know what. Rick Tew fails at life.

The only Bujinkan dojo I'm aware of is a school located in Carmel, Indiana. A ritzy suburb just outside of Indianapolis. Sat in on a class, once... nice place.

I´m afraid it´s nearly impossible to know anything about real ninjutsu. Most people in feudal Japan thought ninjas were like the tooth fairy or the boogey man. And their modus operandi and training was absolutely secret. I don´t think much has survived until today. Most ninjutsu schools are simple martial arts related to karate and Tai-Jutsu.

What about Grand Master Masaaki Hatsumi? He was taught by Takamatsu Sensei and he was in the lineage of the Togakure Ryu Ninjutsu style. How can you say that that style is not authentic? If I remember right Takamatsu Sensei was the 32nd Generation Grandmaster.

Well, Koga Ryu Ninjutsu is linked with Fuedal Japan, because it was taught by the Koga Ninja Clan. Then of course there is the style that Masaaki Hatsumi Sensei teaches, which is half Togakure Ninjutsu which he learned from Takamatsu Sensei, and half of what his style is. As to which is more realistic that depends on the practitioner.
