          Budokai (Jon Bluming)
          Kyokushin

All for MMA, for the streets Budokai as it combines with any Karate to form a Karate with grapling and groundfighting

Dai Do Juku -- Probably the best for street defense. It's an off shoot of Kyokushinkai but the master who developed the style (can't remember his name) thought that Kyokushin had a weakness due to the lack of punching to the head. The tournaments are similar to muay thai, including elbows and knees to the head, but with throws and I believe 10-15 seconds of ground fighting (The theory being that 10-15 seconds is about all the time you'll have before interference occurs).

Their tournaments are run with a similar pointing system that the Kyokushin tournaments use. Techniques either don't score or they score a half point (waza ari) or a full point (Ippon).

There was a karate practitioner who faught Royce Gracie in the 2nd or 3rd UFC... I think his name was Ichihara... he was a Dai Do juku Karate Student and a Japanese National Hero.

                Oyama
                Seido
                Kyukushinkai

If I'm not mistaken and I may be - Seido and Kyukushinkai are derived from Oyama. These are the styles (to the best of my knowledge) which are traditional and hardcore and may suit your needs

There is also the Eugue Ryu style. Very effective.

Seido and Oyama are offshoots of Kyokushin Karate
The Founder of both Kyokushin and Oyama Karate are called Oyama
Where the founder of Kyokushin, who was a korean, took the Japanese name Oyama, to my knowledge because the Other Oyama took him in ( and became one of his first students

Kyokushin is rather linear which is one of the reasons most of the offshoots stress sabaki much more

PErsonally I think that Kyokushin doesn't offer much else then other trad karate styles appart from being hardcore ( ever seen Kyokushin matches?) and being the base of many offshoots ( nr 3 after Shotokan and Shitoryu in number of offshoots)
