Are you sure that wasn't just a hezbolla training vid?

Don't know what that is, but it isn't Ninjutsu. Totally wrong style kicks. Never seen kicks only and no use of hands anywhere. Looks more like a screwed up version of TKD.

Their Tai Sabaki was good, no ukemi in that vid. Ukemi is receiving an attack or strike with a minimal injury or impact, while tai sabaki is being aware of danger, or danger awareness/advoidance.

I didn't see any actual techniques where the student was practicing ukemi because of an "attack" or technique where you whould use it. They are very, very good at tai sabaki where they are advoiding a strike or attack.

im a judo/jiu jitsu guy so to me ukemi just means breakfalling skills.

Yes, remember what ninjitsu is. It is the silent Way, and can include anything and exlude nothing. It is very similar to JKD in that respect. No art, No name, is a famous quote by ashido Kim. Not bad at all, as they techniques of the ninja are unlimited, and Dick is correct, about breakfalling. Remember in Ninja training, you learn to climb, and suffel across walls, how to do some stealthy shit. I love that idea, not just fighting but assasination. Sneaking about like a dodgy so and so. Usefull in War.

agility, movement, and break falling skills are incredibly important if you ask me, maybe even more so than actual combat skills. i use these skills every single day. ive saved myself from quite a few nasty falls just by having proper ukemi/agility/movement. one time i even slipped at the top of a staircase right after i got out of judo, and i was able to catch myself quickly and saved myself a trip down an entire flight of concrete steps.

these ninjas displayed some parkour like skills, and ive stated many times before on this forum that training in le parkour would pobobly enhance a martial artists skills to unbelievable heights.

That is not ninjutsu. I train in ninjutsu and have for years, that in the video is not ninjutsu, don't know what it is, but I do know what it isn't. as for Mr. Kim, anybody with a shread of training in the art knows him to be a fraud in the biggest meaning of the word.

As for open type training, true to a point. Grappling, strikes, low kicks, submission holds, danger avoidence, breakfalls are all part of training, assasination isn't part of the training.

Yes breakfalls are very, very useful in everyday life. Living in an area with snow and ice 6 or more months out of the year, you tend to use it once or twice just walking. Carrying my infant son down the stairs, I stepped on a toy and went headfirst down the last 6 steps, a breakfall kept me from landing on him and also kept me from hurting myself. He was fine, in fact he thought it was a great ride. I didn't.

He may be considerd a fraud, but assination not beinmg part of ninjitsu, dont make me laugh. Maybe in your kiddy class. But a ninjitsu know how to kill , that was the original purpose, a ninja acts when needed, there are no morals in war. A nija was an assasin, so get of your high horse, your fooling nobody.

A ninja who doenst Trani to kill, a crap one.

Thats actualy hillarious, everybody knows a ninja was an assasin.lol And would defenately train to kill, and furthermore thed be sneaky about it, and do it preferably in the dark. But I suppose your must be talking about Batman, or something.

first of all , i should say hi to everyone here
i dont know how old is this thread < maybe 2 months > but i searched google for ninjutsu + iran.

actually this is not ninjutsu < and no Xkan , nor so called Koga Ryus >
i trained in this style for 4 years, but for my luck, i was administrator of a dojo website, i made an english section and it went off like a bomb .and in some Forums there was talk on it, and since i couldnt answer the questions , i began to think if this is not the real one ... and if this man is cheating ...well, i found my way , and now im out of iran, training in a BBT dojo.

as far as i know, the frist who began to root parkour in iran were my friends (and me ) we were really amatur at that time and now my friends have moved into the free running and they like it much more than parkour, though parkour is the core.

about this style, the guy with the black belt is faraji, who call him self (also his students call him ) kancho faraji and claims that kancho means one who brought something new into a country, or one who establish the bujinkan in new country .
he has some background in chinese and iranian kungfu (???)
okinawaian and persian karate (??? )
                            swimming
                            kendo
                            TKD

then he start mixing all his knowldge with some trainings based on books and DVDs from " secret of the ninja : ashida kim !!! " to skh books , and soke videos as well as taxi 2 , enter the ninja , or what ever that present a man with a hood on his head

as he say , %30 of ninjutsu is acrobatics, and in one TV show he stated that kicks are not thrown simple in ninjutsu. they have to be with acrobatics ...
because of this there is a great concern on gymnastic. actually this is gymnastic . i used to arguee with some ppl and told them there is oten and rolls in ninjutsu but not such front flips and .... < though we know we have some sort >
then recently they have came along a copy of the early video made by soke in which shihans are doing some front flips or such moves in nature or dojo.
yet they dont see the differnce . that is in the purpose and usage . < this is like the difference between the parkour and free-running >
they use to go from one side of dojo to another side, doing many front flips and back flipps and card wheels as weel . and turning the dojo into a gymnastic sallon ....

there are alot that i can say about these guys !
but something to note that there are 3 styles claiming to teach ninjutsu .
all 3 styles mention the name of soke hatsumi as the grand master of ninjutsu . but from this 3 just, the first one claim to be related to bujinkan and be a shihan < he used to claim that he is shihan, no he says he more says he is sensei no talk about rank ; the other 2 are the former student of the faraji guy >

so if you want or will to talk about this thing more, ill be happy ...

by the way, to help the situation, i have made a website < www.bujinkan.ir > and im trying to remove the shades by posting real articles about bujinkan for persian peapole. i've started with 9 ryu. since there is a little talk about it in iran and actually no one knows about this. in the website of faraji and in his talks , he says there are 9 bujinkan in japan named " the divine warrior hal, 9 deamon gods , ... "
so i guessed it is better to start from here ....
hope one day they will find the path....

                            regards

                            Koosha

p.s: sorry for such a long post and my bad english ...

one thing that i forgot , their ( and mine also at the time ) breakfalls s(_)ck , now im trying to perfect my self , but we were some how good on tatamis
and in training in nature , that they call it shidoshi kai !!! , if there was to breakfall , first we were going to avoid it by any chance, then if we had, we used to show no pain , this is a Characteristic of iranian , and as for my friends even those who had much more background in martial arts and training , this was same.

                              and something more important , 2 years ago when i was watching the BBT movies on web, i had same idea,{ its some how the same view that a karate ka or kungfu marti artist have toward aikido ... }

when i called my former sensei and he asked me , how is the training, i just said this : from the others point of view , it seems like a play, but when you are in you feel the pain ! and i think this can be element nin

                              luck with your trainings
