  • Antique Katana

Hello there guys, Im a newbie collector(1year), and have several swords from WW2 and newly made Paul Chen and Imperial Forge swords. What I was wondering is, Do any of you know what ear this sword may have come from?, It has the most amazing patterns on the blade, and is very heavy in comparason to even my Imperial Forge Folded blades. Just wondering if anyone could help me, with anything they might know about the peice. Thanks

Being a sword collector, I'm assuming you have checked the mei?

      Nice looking blade... damn fine.

I love the beauty of that folded steel. Damascus or "pattern welded" is up there too.

      Thanks for sharing with us.

Yeah I know, the hammon is also fantastic, when the light hits it. The blade is pretty dull, but I quite like it that way, plus the price for a proper polish is too much. I have checked on the Tang, but there is a lot of dark rust, so its difficult to tell. The lady from the museum will see me for 10mins next week, and told me not to tamper with it too much. I wonder if any you guys know where I could find some info on the styles of katanas used through history, so I can find one like mine, Oh and anyone who would like to buy a Katana can give me a shout. I have a few antique swords that are a bit pricy(£500-4000, but I have good Paul Chen and Imperial forge Katanas as well, good prices because I have used most of them at least once. Any help would be excellent.
