The timing has to be perfect; if you catch him with all his weight on the foot it won't work. If you catch him with his foot off the ground then it's nice. It awesome with shoes on.

With the exception of Koga's unreal Seoi-Nage's, I feel that the Tai-Otoshi has to be the most beautiful Judo throw there is!
