I suggest that we all go watch Ask a Ninja.

The Ninja answers the world's questions.Join us for an AMA on Reddit 5/3/14.

      From this, my enlightenment comes.

      Episode 18 is especially good.

I think ninjas were kind of gay.

I definately agree with you on this one. I personally think its worth digging through waste to find knowledge on the subject(s).

take a look at the post just above. We just have to scroll down through it and laugh. Problem is, without any control over the effort, our minds file away Mr. Bungle's words and those words are stored mentally forever. A waste of storage area Man's mind.

Thx for the reference to the Turnbull et al, 1400 AD book. If I get the opportunity, I'll take a look. Right now however, 1000-1200 AD is of more interest. There was a major change between the Turnbull years and the period I mention. Interested in what may have happened before the Turnbull period. I've read a few exerpts from the text you mention.

NOTICE: Thread temporarily held up until sojobow finishes reading the book. "Then we can have an actual conversation some day." jubaji, you're a hard man to deal with. Now you have me to stand against Dr. Turnbull. You'll argue from a 1460-1650 period while I use 200 years earlier as a base for discussion. Strange conversation we'll have.

Anyway, good thing about all this reading (which I now have many other priorities) is that I did actually find the answer to the questions: What is a Ninja? and What is Ninjitsu? Waiting to receive another document on the subject questions. A very large file so, upon and until received and viewed, I might have a change of mind.

Hmmm should I comment?.....nah...let the "Big bad' forum dudes fight it out lol. I read a few posts and got lost in the exact reasoning behind this post...what was the question again?

How can anyone trust anyone named Mr. Bungle.

wouldn't you have to assume he might bungle the information?

I don't know why everyone's gotta be a bungle 'round here!

He's just one of those people who rise up in the center of something and phrase some off-beat insult to stir a shit storm...simple

The female ninja, or kunoichi, were primarily used to assassinate or infiltrate. They'd use their sensuality to get close to the target, and then kill him while he was... umm... preoccupied.

As with most dramatic things, that was the least common approach. Just blending in as a merchant, musician, or household servant would be a lot simpler.

true but you might not get as close to your target that way... but i personaly have never heard of any differance at all between the two sexes

They did a lot of that too. In that role, they were typically used to provide information, rather than assassination.
