  • What I can tell you is that your were to take mostly any martial art's style to it's extreme and place say... a master Judo expert against a master Ninjutsu expert in a field with weapons, tools, and a variety of obstacles such as undulations, trees, buildings(barns, houses) and shrubs just whom would you expect to excell in this encounter?

Now you may begin to undrestand my perspective

the weapon the enemy dose not exspect is the most effective
stricking vital points before the oponent is expecting a reaction to intimadation is effective combinde with distraction ie a personal or mathemmathical qeustion .
the five ring s contains many ansers
      excuse the spelling

I am interested in martial arts, and I would like to begin this month one of them. Right now I am very interested in ninjitsu and kung fu, but I don't really know what ninjitsu is. Is it the ninja art??? What do you learn??? Do you learn animal styles like in kung fu??? What do you think is better??? I am looking for something spiritual, acrobatic and that enables me to use sticks, etc... and if possible learn animal styles (not essential).
Please could you help, i know that probably is a stupid question, but I really don't know what to do.
          Thank you very much

          Francesco

P.S. sorry about my english but I'm italian

          dear francesco ,

ninjitsu has existed since kung fu has existed , even earlier , it is a art that is intended to aid someone in all scenarios from water fighting to stealth , to multiple opponents to one opponent, it is intended to get the job done has effectively as you can to defend yourself. movies make ninjas look like thieves and assassins but in essence they are just like you and i. it is not a sport , nor to be taken as a hobby. it adjusts your perception of reality that isnt usually found in other martial arts . all have valid pro's and con's , but from experience , i learned more in 2 classes in this, then i did in karate or akido . if u look hard enough you might find it but remember alot of clubs claim they teach the real deal , but they teach tatjitsu which is a water down version of ninjitsu . it requires ALOT OF pratice and patience ,it cant be studied in ranks or belts , its something that is done in a microcosmic group , a family if you will . look and you will find , but it is dam hard to find the real stuff, there are only few around , but look around . i think every martial art has its beauty and splendor in it , so dont compare one to another, in terms of "well a judo master could kick a karate masters ass , etc etc " that is childish talk . shaolin kung fu and ninjitsu are arts i highly regard in my opinion they both have a history together if u read about it
          well ciao for now

          • Hi,
I don't know much about Ninjitsu but i heard that it is the pretty art originated for assassination. I also heard history about various martial arts of Ninjitsu and after that I thought t they often compromised their spirituality and martial ability.

There was about four years of silence on this thread before you brought things up. Let me try to deal with what you say and clear things up.

Ninjutsu was not set up for assassination. It was set up for gathering information. They sometimes snuck into fortresses and did things like set fire to things or poison wells. But to try to get through all the bodyguards most warlords had would be a suicide mission.

What was their spiritual abilities that they compromised? There has been a lot of stuff said about how they were religious people that rebelled against an oppressive political situation, but that is complete bunk. If you doubt my word, look into the situation more closely from more objective sources.

Oh, and as a piece of advice, don't listen too much to folks like Sojobow or others who have not posted for several years.

strange reply? why you keep misspelling "sojobow" is ok. Actually, you gave some good advice to the young person. the skill was developed to efficiently gain foreknowledge during both times of war and times of peace. but, other skills did develope later.

"sojobow", not "Sojobow." When you reveal a truth, I will acknowledge it as I have above. But be not comforted in your "vast knowledge.". Spirituality is great - for those that know how and when to use it.

                      Hi dude!

Yes, the correct form of the name you took starts with a capital letter. I guess if you want to do the whole Prince/symbol thing you might be right. But for most of us that would be as weird as believing that Frank Dux really is the victim of a huge conspiracy.

Seriously, as a moderator I think you should go over to martialtalk, Budoseek and e-budo and find the reasons he has been banned from at least a few of them, maybe all three.

                        History repeats itself.

Well, let me see if I can help. Budoseek: wanted additional information about who I am, what is my full name and some additional personal information (per pm from owner).

Martialtalk: Only after they made you a moderator and another former DRN student asked a simple question inquiring if Hatsumi Sensei EVER had a real fight in his life. Then, there was this great game. I get banned for 2 weeks and some guy posted that I pm'd him with a lot of misinformation. I'm banned so I can't answer. After I'm reinstated, I challenged the Roley fan to prove his post "quoting me." Gave him my blessing to cut&paste anything I've ever pm'd him. Naturally, since he never expected my reture, he kind of lost his voice and Roley, somehow, lost his ability as a moderator to find these ghost pm's and reveal them.

e-budo: Because I pointed out to the owner that he had been misreading his "proof." Seems, his "proof" did not say what he accused others of saying. I think the owner became somewhat depressed. Also, something about why his Sensei had to have a number of bodyguards to protect him from another Hanshi. 100 pages of them asking me questions and it ends with a simple question on why his teacher hired bodyguards.

Truthfully, I don't think I was ever banned from e-budo. Just about everything sojobow disappeared after someone sued e-budo and won. Had nothing to do with me though. I wouldn't sue e-budo, Don Roley or anyone else regarding their post against me. I am old-school. I'll take my Sword on knock on their doors personally. Can't hide from this Tengu (can't get these Smilies to work).

enjoy correcting my subject - verb disagreements.

                            • Will someone please tell me why the name "Sojobow" and the name "Frank Dux" pops up in a post after all these years and why it seems - through a quick reading - that the moderator seems somewhat already biased. I, sojobow, an not and should not be the subject in any thread. Lets find truths in martial sciences. But, if I am so feared by others, so be it. It is, what it is.
