The question was why Hatsumi smiles. You are thinking about Dux. Of course, with the way he babbles, Sojobow might have been thinking the same thing. He never mentioned talking to Hatsumi in any prior post and he might be seeing people that are not there again.

In my case, a martini or two per night keeps me sane. Getting a few thousand miles away from my in mother law helped even more.

If you are taking herbs, my suggestion is to get off of them. If you aren't taking anything, you might want to see a professional to get the proper dosage issued to you.

Darth, my friend. Many years have passed since Hatsumi talked about the smile. Its a martial art technique. He has his reasons and has taught this to his students. Not my problem if his students don't pay attention. Musashi has his gaze; Hatsumi has his smile. Both are basic to each Ryu.
