    don't forget that bruce unfortunately used some of the few effective tkd techniques as well...not just savate

      One of the best things I learned from WC is the energy/trapping drills which are useful in the fightgame as a whole, from standing to grappling. I've never actually "trapped" (the paddycake thing) in a real altercation or live drill but the act of flowing with the other person's energy is an important part of keeping a desired range. Even in applying the Shred, moving with the other person's energy is essential.

      I'm not sure about how most WCers punch but we always lined up one foot forward, almost sideways facing our opponent (I think to better protect our nutsacks) and this limits the punching power as you can't really torque with the hips properly like in Western boxing. Maybe that's just my experience.
