      Hi mate,

have a look at Inosanto's "JKD Grappling" (online if you're familiar with p2p ware )
It teaches you to pass from striking/trapping into vertical grappling and then groundfighting.
JKD is always evolving, so noone can say what it takes and what it leaves, but of course these last years BJJ and Wrestling have been so successful in UFC/NHB that everyone tries to "implement" their takedowns, throws, locks etc.

I guess you guys mean Sifu Larry Hartsell`s "Entering to Trapping to Grappling" Book on JKD Grappling. Two volumes available...

          Greetings

If you want to be a ground fighter then do BJJ, Sambo, etc. If you want to able to defend yourself and have some good grappling skills to boot then JKD is right up your alley.

Train BJJ. Groundfighting is only as good as your experience level. I know all the submissions my friends do, but as a blue, I am not as in tune to when, and where they may be best applied. Today, I rolled with a couple of browns, who kicked the snot out of me. They told me what they were planning on doing, then they did it. Very frustrating. Just time spent on the mat. This is the only way you will get better.
