  • Are there any good JKD schools in NYC?

Do any of you know a good JKD schools in NYC around the Bronx or manhattan?

    For Manhattan

    JKDC - http://www.andersonsmartialarts.com/
    OJKD - http://www.setojkd.com/

I can't tell you if they're any good or not because I've never visited these schools. You might want to drop by and see what they're about for yourself. As far as the Bronx, no such luck. I've been looking for one in the Bronx area as well without success. Good luck.

Edit: Here's an old thread someone posted asking for JKD schools in NYC. Check it out for some more suggestions.

are you close geographically to dino orfanos. He would perhaps present closest to what Dan taught in his backyard and then some. If Chris Kent really trusts this guy, then you gotta go check him out.

You're right. I forgot about this guy. He doesn't have a professional website and it looks like he teaches out of a community center. There's nothing wrong with that but I'd prefer to know a little bit more about his background. Anyway, if you do try it out let me know.
