Okay, being (semi) serious; Chuck is a ranked black belt in GM John Hackleman's Hawaiian Kempo, which he (Hackleman) describes as a mix of Kajukembo, Boxing, Kickboxing, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, and Fitness. There is some weapons work in Kajukenbo (the founder was experienced in Kali), but the amount of weapons work you would do varies from school to school. My understanding is that GM Hackleman was a highly ranked kickboxer and boxer in the 80's and that most of his school is geared to empty hands and MMA techniques. Certainly that would be the bulk of Chuck's training; most likely doing much weapons work when you're training full time to be a pro boxer, kickboxer, or MMA fighter would help about as much as doing needlepoint. So while I'd guess Chuck has done some weapons training, he probably hasn't done anything that would put him at Paul Vunak's level, but for that matter, neither did Ali, and he seemed to do all right. I think Chuck would do very well if he clears the area of sharp objects and has Paul Vunak go through a metal detector and submit to a strip search beforehand.

Teaching & actual fighting are two different things.
I've seen many nhb fights & quit a bit of Vunak's tapes.
Two differnent animals.
Chuck's fighting for real with rules & Vunak's creating scenario fighting with his students.
Vunak's rumored street fights/bar brawls are legend, but nobody seems to have ever seen it for real, just stories? or another way for Vu to sell more videos?
You tell me.
