It's obvious it will cause more damage to use the top two. Think about it. The bottom three pressed against something forms a straight line of 3 humps not petruding the line. The top two in contact are two very hard humps not in alignment. Rougher alignment and harder bone = more damage. However i agree with whats been mentioned about the bottom three knuckle fist being a lot easier on the wrist. Due to the middle knuckle sticking out further than the fore-knuckle causes a slight outer twist of the wrist, taking away from whats feels solid and natural. This is why im constantly pumping the junior fingers with a hand gripper or ball at any able moment (specially the thrid finger). But until they're up to scratch it's gonna be the duo all the way
