TT - "No I didn't, I said he was outspoken."

Ash - "If you said outspoken, you clearly meant that he is a loudmouth."

'Outspoken and that pisses people off' is what Tim said, not trying to twist anything , draw your own rational conclusions. Does Tim say that about others, never heard him do it? Does someone who is outspoken & pisses people off , sound like a swell guy , fun to be around? The best martial artists I've met are the least outspoken , they don't need to nor want to 'piss people off' ; and they realise shooting down others , does not establish your own credibilty.

Tim did not mean it in a negative manner either , it was purely observational; anyone that knows Tommy Carruthers will tell you the same or similar regarding his outspoken views & attitude, yo can't exactly miss it.

Besides as I said being outspoken to a degree it pisses people off, is definitely not wise in the martial arts world, given the nature of it - combat. It is why Rick Young had words with him face to face & others have too.

Dan Inosanto doesn't even teach JKD or Jun Fan , nor can he use the logos either , the Bruce Lee Foundation legally silenced him for good & it is for the best for JKD in the future BUT one thing you can say about Inosanto he is modest & not outspoken nor does he go around 'pissing people off' with what he says & his views. Tommy Carruthers could learn a great deal from Inosanto in terms of humility and respect for others.

Ashtanga, why don't you go to Dan's website and se exactly what he teaches, you will see that he does clearly use the name Jeet Kune Do and does say that he teaces it by itself www.inosanto.com once your are there click on Academy Information then curriculum and you will see "The Art and Philosphy of Jeet Kune Do.

As could you, I suggest using a different tack if you wish to remain a part of this community.

Tim has made it clear that He was not saying Tommy is a loud mouth. Enough said. He does not owe you further explanation.

The fact you would post such a long post of BS is very, very sad indeed!

Facts on Crusader :-

1) He won't explain his connection with Tommy Carruthers. He says he is not a student but friend of his. So why jump to his defence on a martial arts forum? (Message him & ask his connection with TC & see how elusive he is).

2) He supports & defends Tommy Carruthers views - even though he is widely considered an arrogant A-Hole in the martial arts world by many - ask around.

3) He is very indenial his hero Tommy would back down and be physically scared from a direct challenge face to face from Rick Young (others have done so to face to face, he has backed down on them all). Strange , as he claims his art is for the street, etc. If you have met Rick Young, incredibly nice guy you will quickly realise how much of a bigmouth A-Hole Tommy must be to have pissed him off.

4) He considers Tommy Carruthers a leading authority on JKD & BL's art even though he is certified by noone currently! Ted Wong supposedly certified him ( & he may well have done? ) but he is not listed as an Instructor on Ted Wong's site, nor is there any certification on TC's site. Jesse Glover , etc have not certified him. His credentials & only known certification in the past was from Gary Dill & that was only 'Basic' (email or contact Gary Dill & ask him , his thoughts on Tommy Carruthers, please do!). He has certificates from Paul Vunak, Dan Inosanto, etc from SEMINARS ONLY!

5) He considers Tommy Carruthers to be one of the Worlds Greatest Martial artists & Bruce Lee No. 2, he thinks he has surpassed BL in many ways. Strange many others that have really done JKD don't rate him so highly. Stranger too that he looks a joke compared to Rick Young, Erik Paulson, Vunak, etc & backed down & was terrified of challenge from Rick Young in person when he is BL No.2.

6) He supports Tommy's view even though Tommy is very outspoken & annoys & offends many people. And worse, Tommy hasn't even the courage of his own convictions, he talked badly on JKD Concepts, Dan Inosanto, etc but backed down & said he greatly supported all Dan was doing & though he was great in front of Rick Young (eventhough Rick Young had ample proof he had put Dan down a lot from his own forum, his own words, & people that had talked with TC). Being a bigmouth is one thing, but not having the courage to air your views when someone takes offence at them, says a lot about his character - spineless for a start. He talks real tough on the net & to his students & acts like a real badass , when push comes to shove he freezes and is terrified physically shaking.


If Crusader replies , watch for the pretend I never saw 3) above, or a 'I don't care' (translates ' I do care' but can't accept the great Tommy my hero would back down & be terrified of a challenge.
