I met him some 15 or 16 years ago when he was an assistant of Guro Dan teaching a seminar in Germany. I later met him at the academy in LA again. Really nice guy!

          Greetings

            Sifu Nino Pilla

Sifu Nino Pilla, to the best of my knowledge, has completed all 25 instructor grades under Guro Dan Inosanto. Sifu Pilla is an Australian, of Italian origin. He is located in Adelaide, the capital of the state of South Australia. He also has Academies in Italy.

I have been training for 35 years, and have trained under many world famous instructors, and I am a Sifu in Wing Chun Gung Fu. But I left my own Wing Chun Master to train with Sifu Pilla, as soon as I heard he was here.

Sifu Pilla has trained me as a private student in JKD/FMA for 7 years now and he is a great friend. Nino is a true martial artist. He lives it everyday. I still teach WC and MMA, but Nino is the real Budoka. He is a truly great martial artist.

Sifu Pilla has just finished working on the movie "Big Stan" with Rob Schneider.

Here are some useful links, and please feel free to e-mail me at sbarton@internode.on.net. As my log-in name suggests, I have also trained under Sifu Burton Richardson.

            Cheers,
            Dr Stephen Barton

              Nino

I trained with Nino in Adelaide for 6 years, He's an excellent instructor and not afraid to practice what he says. There are plenty of martial artists way better than me who consider Nino someone really worth learning from. I doubt you would ever regret any time spent with him.

Hi. I'm Sifu Stephen Barton. I know Sifu Nino Pilla extremely well and he has been to my home a great number of times. Sifu Nino Pilla teaches me privately. I have been training for 36 years and have high degree black belts in Karate and JJ. I am also a Master of Wing Chun and Authorised to teach original Jeet Kune Do by Sifu Jerry Poteet.

Sifu Nino is the best martial artist and trainer I know. Sifu Pilla's skills go beyond style and his skills are far above mine. He is beyond reproach and he is the nicest guy. He doesn't have a negative word to say about anything.

If you are looking for a teacher, you could do no better. I have trained with the best, and Sifu Pilla is my choice of teacher.

If you want any information, please contact me privately at sbjkd@internode.on.net, or sbarton@internode.on.net and I will be happy to help.
                  Stephen
