Hope that helps some. You should send a message to Tim Tackett since he is on this forum alot and ask the question to him. He is a wealth of information.

I have been training with alot of first gen. guys and I have twice with Tim Tackett. But I have my own Ideals of effected Jeet Kune Do.
Everyone thats teaches and/or train in it, knows that it is WC - Boxing - Fencing.....2/3's of it is an western principles applyed to expressing your art.....Tim even brought this up at my school last weekend, at the seminar he did at my school.....This wasn't the first time I have heard of this, or taught it to my friends/students.....
The sad thing about "Todays Jeet Kune Do" is a lack of "Philosophy" being taught in "IT".....

Jeet Kune Do before death, had principles that free you from style baggage and the energy training of Jeet Kune Do isn't the same as WC.....Also, BL looked at other stuff only to beat them, not to "ADD TO" and complicate things...
