  • Knuckles?

Does anyone know anything about broken knuckles, I swear I've broke one on my right hand but I cant be sure. What I do know is it looks different from the same knuckle of the opposite hand.
I heard that martial artist centuries ago used to break their knuckles on purpose for some reason, conditioning?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    ADVICE ON NUCKLES

HAVE YOU SEEN A DOCTOR ABOUT YOUR HAND? IF IT IS, YOU CAN STILL TRAIN, IF IT IS NOT, DONT WORRY ABOUT IT AS LONG AS YOU CAN USE IT.

      dwoolman:

Having broken a knuckle myself, I can tell you that there is no real way to tell if it is broken for sure without getting it X-rayed. If it is a minor break, you'll probably just have to tape your fingers together and take it easy on that hand for a while. If is it a serious break, it may require surgery (though the chance of this is not terribly likely). If you can afford it, definitely go to the doctor.

I can't say that I know much about intentionally breaking one's knuckles for the purposes of conditioning.

      Take care and train hard,
      Jim
