they started makin' the DDR pads again along with the game, i think my girlfriend got a pad for like $20. i'd think it should be able to be played on a home system. don't get me wrong thought, nothing beats training with a partner, but this would be cool for on the side training

Nothing beats actual sparring against a partner. But I cant to that all the time because my kid brother does not do MA in fact he HATES it.
So it would be good for the home systems, Id buy one because I have to train alone, nobody in my house except for me is fanaticle about MA, Fitness etc.
So anyone who works for a game company tell your boss!

You're both right. It is better for solo training. I wonder how it would influence your sparring, though. To get a truly effective session, you'd probably have to have a wrap-around screen so you could turn at least 180 degrees, or a screen on an armiture that would follow your movements. Turning at 90 or less would probably stifle your progress.
Let's see: $20 for the pad, $50 for the game (probably more, because it's so specialized), and how much for the screen and the sensors do you think? It might come in well under what I paid for my PS2, but we'd have to see.
Not the cheapest thing, but I shouldn't talk. Training at a school isn't so very cheap, and it's the best way to progress when you are in Fighter's situation (as I am -- my brother lives cities away, sis in NZ, and no one else has time).

Oh yeah...I didn't think about turning all the way around. But they could limit the game but thats not much better.
I still get to spar regulary but not as much as I would like to.
