Hey all, I am a new member and had a few Questions? I am currently an orange belt in shotokan karate and have a little experiance in kenpo and bjj. I have been interested in joining jkd.
What is the ranking system used in jkd? I also live in sacramento calif, does anyone know of a good school there?
    thanks

I believe there are loads of places to learn JKD in California! A lot more than here in the UK, but I'm lucky enough to live close to a place.

      Good luck!

Jeet Kune Do does not use any ranking systems because it does not focus on belts or on ranks, it focuses on the abilities of the practicioner as an individual, not on the group. I recommend that you pick up "The Tao of Jeet Kune Do" it is an excellent book and it will give you great insight into the philosophy and "techniques" of JKD. In regards to a good school, I'm not from the area but I can assure you that you will find some place that teaches JKD nearby . By the way, JKD is unlike anything that you have ever experienced when it comes to martial arts, you will either love it or hate it. Good luck.
