As I recall in my original post, I DID admit that it was not the right thing to do. However, I do not regret that I did it. I became a better martial artist in my opinion. Hence, the martial arts is a journey of give and take.

Maybe it boils down to why you're in the school in the first place? We have a nice Kung Fu syllabus - Harvest Palm Block etc. etc. but we wouldn't actually use many 'syllabus' techniques in a live situation. We train syllabus cus we're interested in and respect the original Chinese techniques, but put the mouth guard in, pads on and we'll be using kick-boxing techniques everytime. Of course, you need an instructor to teach 'classical' and 'practical' in the same class. It's a shame all instructors can't find the time to teach both.
Hmm, hope I've not opened up a debate on whether 'classical' is 'practical' - that wasn't the intention.

If I go into someone elses house and do as I please whether or not it is "right" or "wrong" depends on: Why am I there? Who else is there? How do they feel? Can they stop me?(which is what really matters). I go into someone's house because I want to steal their food, the owner of the house doesn't mind and they can't stop me anyway. In this instance it is "right" for me to steal their food. If they didn't want me to steal their food (if they wanted to it it themselves) then in their opinion it would be "wrong", but in my opinion it would still be "right". If I killed them then they wouldn't mind so it is "right" and they won't be able to stop me anyway. If I felt guilty about killing them then perhaps I might consider eating their food to be "wrong".

This is a common affliction. Many people who arte thick (i.e. stupid) often strugle to understand something that others say is "clever". So, after a time, they think that if something cannot really be understood, it is "clever".

Hence lizard comes up with this nonsensical bollocks, and thinks he is being "clever".

Let me clarify what Lizard may be trying to say... This is a well-known idea in philosophy: Good and evil DO NOT exist in nature, but in the confines of human thought. That is, what someone perceives as right or wrong is never really right or wrong.
