So Bruce Lee was fond of weed. Big Deal.
He probablely used it to relax and help his back. Its use in Chinese medicine has been documented for thousands of years. Besides I'm pretty sure that there weren't many in the Hollywood scene in the early Seventies who didn't at least occationally partake. Personally I think its not harmful when used in moderation and should be legalized (And no, I'm not some big pothead). I don't see what the big deal is. He was involved in something that millions of people have tried, and he was human. Yes, Bruce Lee was a great man, but he was also just that, a man. He had his quirks, his faults, and his stresses just like everyone else. Perhaps he needed to get high and chill out every now and then. Mabye he just enjoyed it. Whether he got high or not does not alter his impact on the martial arts world or his legacy one bit.

What people WANT to believe should have no bearing on what they actually believe. Only the evidence should influence your beliefs.
This is a pet subject of mine. People spend their entire lives fooling themselves...... I mean, I want to believe that Falcon was a Ranger.......

Actually
Actually, the cannibis was drank as a tea. However, there really isn't much effect as a lot ot the THC is destroyed in the stomach. I am from the "hippie" era so I know. Not many people knew that Bruce drank different teas. Much of the info on Bruce is disappeared now...either destroyed or owned by someone somewhere not to be released.

I mean yes, if you had your choice, sure, load up the water pipe. But some people bake a mean pot brownie that will knock the novice on his or her ass and get them nice and stoney. I mean yes, you get 5-10 times less by eating it, but if you use enough you will get stoned (e.g. 5-10 times more). Bruce certainly had the money to buy all the pot he wanted. What exactly would be the point of Bruce putting his pot into tea if it got destroyed in the stomach? It doesn't have any real benefits if the THC is gone. It doesn't taste good. If he drank it, it was to get a mild high. Duh. And of course he drank different teas. Lots of people drink different teas. Especially Asian people. That is where tea comes from after all. Did Bruce eat different kinds of rice? Or different kinds of vegetables? Yes, of course he drank different kinds of tea. People that drink tea generally don't dump their bag of pot in the kettle though. Damn man, I'm sorry, but you have got some weird ideas about things. Never trust a smurf.

At it again Robert?
Chinese learned "tea time" from the British and their funny little accent too. According to Bob and others, Bruce liked to eat(brownies) or drink his cannibis. The effect wasn't much, however it was enough to relax him.
Our pot came only from Mexico back then and was very potent. I smoked plenty, especially during the war. I have also eaten plenty of brownies and frankly, they didn't do jack for me. Smoking though, was a differnet story.
