No, but he pontificated about how he would win.

Fighting Mas would have been a really bad idea. He had about 80 pounds on Bruce. And, you know, he killed all those bulls with his bare hands. Bruce trained hard, Mas trained just insane. You just don't mess with guys that run off to the mountains. Like the Unabomber. Mas was the same way. Living off the land in a little cabin, smashing his fists into tress all day long. Serious issues there. Fortunately he took it all out on the hapless slabs of walking beef. But I digress...

Bruce supposedly (although I am pretty sure this much is true) fought a lot as a kid, or rather had to fight. You know, rough neighborhood and all. So I'm guessing he beat up a bunch of thugs no one ever heard of. And I think he did get a few challenge matches at his school, but whether it was anyone "great" or famous, I don't know. I'm sure someone will have the answer.

He beat Chuck Norris though...oh, wait, that was just in the movie. Nevermind.

The daftest thing about Enter the Dragon was that Bruce didn't fight Bolo. I read somewhere that their egos were too big. Even though it would only be a pretend fight, neither could stand the thought of losing.

Bruce worked out and also sparred with a lot of greats. Chuck, Mike Stone, Gene Lebelle, Joe Lewis, etc.

          Nothing more nothing less.

So instead, Bolo decided to "lose" to the amazing John Saxton.

              Nice one.....

But, if you think about it, that WOULD be far less of a blow to his ego. No one would really think Saxon had a chance, especially after the appalling fight scenes he was in.

When he became a super star, Bruce Lee didn't actually fight anymore... rather he trained and sparred with people. Here's what I've read and heard in the past.

According Dan Inosanto, Robert Bustillo and a friend of mine who knew Chuck Norris, Bruce and Chuck sparred one evening during the making of "Way of the Dragon." Bruce Lee was so fast that Chuck Norris could not even hit him. Chuck was slapped pretty hard many times, since Bruce didn't want to actually punch him.

Bruce Lee fought a guy on the set of "Enter the Dragon," as told by Bob Wall. Bruce was playing around until the guy got him angry... It was all over after that.

Samo Hung and Bruce Lee sparred during the making of "Game of Death," as told in the biography of Jackie Chan. It was a real kung-fu fight in which Bruce's speed was unmatched.

Bob Wall and Bruce Lee sparred on the set of "Enter the Dragon." Wall recalls just how phenomenal Lee was stating, "he could have been a lightweight champion kickboxer, or boxer."

u know the long-haired guy in enter the dragon...what you see in the movie is real, bruce did punch him and kick him...they were enemies in real life...bruce cut himself when the guy was holding those bottles(wich he was supposed to drop before bruce kicked), I guess that pissed him off...the movie is on AMC once again right now, and tomorrow at around 5...

you're referring to Bob Wall, and no they weren't. It was chalked up to an accidental cut on Bruce's hand, and the pressure of the gossipy Chinese.

( I can say that because I'm also gossiped about! )

What famous fighters fight to the death with each other anyway?

Fighters "fight" by training and sparring with other fighters.

either way, he got cut in his foot(since it was a kick), and he kicked old bobbert when he flew back into the crowd, where one in the crowd broke his hand when wall fell on him...

of course none of us knows 100% for sure, we weren't there...

Who said anything about fighting people to death?

or actually having a MA fight with them. Rixon has fought people, Mas has fought people....

Yeah, but I thought I established that Mas was crazy. I mean he killed a guy in a street fight because he was hitting on a chick. He beat the crap out of one of his superior officers in the air force. The dude attacked TREES AND ROCKS! He fought bulls barehanded. He got gored by a bull, was in the hospital for six months, and then came back to fight more bulls. Did I mention he attacked inanimate objects in the forest for months on end? I think he was enamored of the Prussian Empire too. I mean, sure, Mas was a super badass, but half of that comes from being totally insane. Don't fight guys that attack rocks, its just a bad idea. Or guys that fight bulls without swords.

Sure, maybe Bruce didn't go around attacking rocks and killing guys in streetfights, but who cares? Everyone who sparred with him was impressed. And its not like he ever had to fight rocks or bulls. Or trees.
