Alright, after a few months of search and debate I've come down to the final two arts. Koshu Ryu Kempo or American Kenpo. I'll need the opinions of you experts one more time please. I've checked out both the respective intructors and both have their pluses and minuses. It comes down to the particular art. Which of the two arts is better suited for my three children? Thanks ladies and gents!

Sorry I just now saw this, haven't had much time to check the boards lately.
All else being equal I would personally lean towards American Kenpo, but that's mostly because I'm much more familiar with it. The systems are going to be similar; American Kenpo was Ed Parker's effort to organize and systematize the Kempo taught to him by William Chow, who was in turn the student of James Mitose, the man who brought Kosho Ryu Kempo to the United States. Parker put quite a bit of thought into codifying Kenpo techniques and making them teachable and practical for real world self defense, and Parker kenpo is one of the more widespread American martial arts. Jeff Speakeman's "The Perfect Weapon" from 1991 can show you some movie versions of American Kenpo techniques. I'd recommend a Kosho Ryu movie for comparison, but I don't know of any.
The guy in this video appears to be wearing an American Kenpo patch, so maybe it will give you some idea. He's throwing in some Judo techniques and other stuff as well; it almost looks like Kajukenbo. That's good as far as I'm concerned, I've always been a fan of crosstraining.

I should add, I don't want to sound like I'm recommending American Kenpo over Kosho Ryu; like I said, I'm just more familiar with it because it's more widespread. You might want to try a class of each and see which instructor suits you better.
