  • question about the french open?

I was just wondering about what exactly is the french open? I know its a martial arts tournament, of course. But, I mean, what all does it include? Weapons? Kata? Freestyle? And my next ? is what do you get if you win? Cash? Trophies? All help is appreciated. Thanks. Jim.

Well M.Artist, it is a tennis tournament, but there is also a martial arts tournament called the french open. If you are interested in seeing what it is, type in french open martial arts tournament under search or you can go to www.bilang.com and look at clips of it.

Oh yeah I definently know it won't work in a real fight. But, i just like the way those kicks look. If I find myself in a confrontration, of course if I didn't start the confrontration of course, I would defend myself with my training, not with my flashy kicks. Later.

[martial arts were designed to be used in combat not in dance routines. They were used to dispatch another human as quickly as possible. The xma is a joke. If i wanted to do that crap i would join ballet or gymnastics.

Well, honestly I could care less about them being incorporated into martial arts. And yes those flashy kicks do look cool. I know those flashy kicks can't be used in a fight, but still its cool to do them just for fun.
