  • HI! GUYS OUT THERE just want to ask about THIS

IF ur a fan of Steven Seagal can u help me if what style of AIKIDO did he use,did he use combat aikido or UESHIBA'S aikido and to know that aikido is very spiritual but when u get to see STEVEN's film u see the opposite...sorry if i offend others but this is the truth of his aikido he directly and instantly kills a opponent...And his hands is very quick thats why im interested with this style

See, the thing is...those fights are choreagraphed. If you see his REAL fights, they actually resemeble REAL aikido. In his movies its more like aikido and mixed stuff. Honestly, i dont mean to kill you here, but its bullshit style. In order to get a little good with timing, you need to practice for atleast 2-3 years. Also, the circular motions dont help you in a real fight if your opponent knows what hes doing. Get off the couch and stop watching movies that give the wrong impression of martial arts.

Steven Segal does aikikai aikido, the same as the founder. He is a 7th degree black belt. Aikido is very effective, it just takes quite a while to learn, but once you do, it is a great art.

Original aikido was not meant to kill. But, using small variations of many of its techniques, yes, it could kill in seconds. You can see many of its techniques at http://www.aikidojo.info/html/video.html . or http://www.aikido-world.com/highligh...Techniques.htm, or http://www.aikikai.nl/technieken.html. And take a look.

                      No.

For the last time it is NOT THE STYLE of the art or the ART itself that does ANYTHING.

IT IS THE MAN DOING IT. (Aikidoka) IF HIS INTENT IS TO KILL YOU PERHAPS YOU SHOULD KILL HIM FIRST?

How would one go about doing that with little or NO TRAINING in the MARTIAL ARTS?

Buy a gun? Knife? Learn to kill with your bare hands... ? Or a stick? Where do you live again?

Can aikido kill you in just seconds? Any style has moves that can kill you in seconds if performed right or on occasion wrong. A roundhouse to the neck could kill. A straight to the solarplex could kill. A neck crank done all the way can kill. Why do you really wanna learn martial arts? To impress someone or because youve been bullied or something? Dont ask such questions, it just offends people who take thier training seriously.

Very well said Although there are moves in every style that can kill, thats not the point of training. It is to better yourself as a person and a fighter, not to kill.

The most effective art at killing someone in seconds is....the art of Marksmanship...aka...a gun!
